Administrator mourned by many

By David Watters

Many current and former Ryman League clubs are mourning the passing of Peter Braxton, the general secretary and vice-chairman of the Capital Football League.

The former secretary, director, vice-chairman and press officer at Wealdstone is reported to have suffered a heart attack on Monday morning.

The long-serving league administrator and Stones stalwart, who helped found the Capital Football League back in 1984 with Wealdstone as one of its founding clubs, bounced back from illness in the early 1990s and is survived by his wife Diane and family.

Saddened officials from the Capital Football League are currently emailing past and present member clubs to inform them and are expected to announce details of Mr Braxton's funeral in the coming days.
