Harlow Town manager Danny Chapman has re-signed key defender Michael Akande and also brought in midfielder Shaun Gliddon for the Ryman North campaign.

Centre-half Akande, pictured, played a key part in the Hawks' defence last season after the 22-year-old joined the Barrows Farm club from league rivals Ware.

Gliddon, 27, returns to the club after a spell at Enfield 1893, five years after playing under former manager Ryan Kirby.

"We wish both players the very best for this coming season," said a club spokesman.
