All change at the Sudbury helm

Long serving Chairman steps down, new board takes shape

Long-serving AFC Sudbury Chairman Phil Turner has announced that he is standing down with immediate effect, to be replaced by Vice-Chairman Andrew Long.

Long will head a board which will now include four new directors- Danny Laws, First Team Manager Mark Morsley, Ben Davies and Ian Brown. This quartet will be joining existing members Richard Instance and Darren Theobald.

Turner, chairman for much of the last twenty years, had already announced that he would be stepping down at the end of the season, but brought forward the timing of his departure to coincide with other changes in the boardroom. He will- of course- be remaining at the Kings Marsh Stadium as Club President.
