Whitstable Town are backing Danny Wisker to win Big Brother 2015 despite their former player once leaving them to join arch Ryman South rivals Herne Bay!

The 29-year-old, pictured in a publicity shot for Channel 5 ahead of entering the famous house in Elstree on Tuesday night with 14 other hopefuls, is also being backed by the bookies who have him at 6-1 on to leave as this year's winner and collect £150,000 in prize money.

Nicknamed the 'Demolition Man' because of his work in demolition, Wisker was a favourite with Oystermen fans after scoring 15 times in 148 appearances for the Kent club, six in the FA Cup.

The winner of ITV2's `Girlfriends’ after joining the Bay, in his biography for the show's viewers, he lists scoring for Whitstable in 2009 in a 1-1 FA Cup Preliminary Round clash away at Lordswood as one of his greatest achievements.

If the Oystermen had their way, Wisker who still plays local football and is best mates with Ricci from Geordie Shore, would be returning to grace the Ryman League next season as a star on and off the pitch.

Club officials are now urging supporters to vote for Margate-based Wisker who is single and already has a reputation as a 'good guy' after helping to fulfill the wish of cancer sufferer Kayleigh Duff who was terminally ill with liver cancer last year by acting as her groom in a wedding ceremony.

An Oysterman spokesman said: "Dan was a fans favourite prior to joining the arch enemy and apart from local football, his talents are not currently gracing any Ryman grounds as yet but could there be a return after Big Brother? Let’s get behind Dan and vote him to win!"

Whisker and his housemates have no problems kicking a ball round at their Mad Men themed house which features five double beds, the biggest pool in Big Brother history, a sprawling bathroom, an enormous downstairs diary room and outdoor 'Sky Room.'
