Angels bring in a table-topper

Haringey striker heads to Longmead

Tonbridge Angels boss Steve McKimm today confirmed that he had reinforced his attack with the signing of Haringey Borough striker Chinedu McKenzie.

McKenzie has already scored eight goals this season, his last coming as Borough walloped Kingstonian 4-0 at the beginning of December, but he has found starts hard to come by since the return to Coles Park of Ralston Gabriel. Prior to Gabriel's arrival, McKenzie was feted for scoring in four consecutive rounds of the FA Cup, as Borough progressed to the First Round Proper for the first time in their history.

Angels, former league leaders themselves, have struggled for goals recently- scoring only five in their last nine league matches. McKimm will hope that McKenzie can end that drought and fire them back up the table- starting at home to Brightlingsea Regent tomorrow.

Head to the Angels website for more on this move.
