Another away win for Beachboys

By Peter Butcher

A GOAL by John Easterford earned Concord a 1-0 Ryman Premier victory at Kingstonian tonight (Monday).

It was their 13th Ryman Premier away victory and Kingstonian’s ninth home defeat.

Easterford’s goal after 65 minutes brought Concord level on points with third-placed Wealdstone and maintained their hopes of a home game in the play-off semi-finals, though Wealdstone have an extra game to play. K’s, meanwhile, are effectively out of the play-off hunt.

Aveley need two points from their last two games to make quite sure of a Ryman North play-off spot after their 1-0 home win over Redbridge. Jack Stevenson’s accurate finish provided the only goal late in the first half.

Redbridge, who had a good share of the game, also have reason to be pleased. By keeping the score down they go into the last day of the season leading bottom club Ilford by three points and nine goals.

Waltham Abbey, with four matches to play in the last six days of the season, got their hectic week off to a good start with a 2-0 home won over Potters Bar. Both goals came from Dean Green in the second half.

Where next?

Dulwich need one point THE race for the Ryman South title will go to the last day of the season, when Dulwich will need a single point from their home game against Burgess Hill to finish on top.
