This was a well matched game in which the home side, riding their luck after a missed 30 minute Boro penalty, scored two second half goals to clinch all three points despite the visitors continuous efforts to get onto the scoresheet.
Redbridge slumped to their fourth league defeat in a row as visiting Romford’s energetic performance proved too much for Jody Brown’s Motormen.
With this first victory in six games Boro went above their last season’s final points total and moved back to ninth place in the league table.
