Are Worthing finally coming home?

By Ian Townsend

Mr Dowell, with this video you are really teasing us!

After playing every single match so far in somebody else's ground-particularly at Bognor Regis Town's Nyewood Lane- it seems that Worthing FC's nightmare start to the season might be finally over, off the pitch at least!

The Mackerel Men, who invited their supporters down to Woodside Road on Sunday to give the place a spruce up, seem set to announce that renovations to their 3G pitch have been completed to F.I.F.A.'s satisfaction and that they are about to be allowed to finally return home. Or at least we think that's what they are going to announce, given their Twitter feed has promised news at 5PM and teased us with the Baddiel and Skinner song, 'Three Lions.'

Given it certainly isn't an announcement that Worthing expect England to win the next World Cup- that would just be silly, unless their influence with world football's governing body really has come on leaps and bounds- it must be about football coming home. Or is it? See for yourself!
