Badders comes out of retirement

New Leatherhead manager Jimmy Bullard had persuaded striker Tom Bradbrook to come out of retirement and return to the Ryman League's Tanners.

The forward, a director for an insurance brokers in London, turned down a new deal at Dartford in the summer after finding it increasingly difficult towards the end of last season to balance work with his football commitments at Princes Park.

In two spells with the National League South outfit, the former Sittingbourne and Margate forward made 105 appearances and scored 25 goals. Now 29, the Tanners fans favourite at number nine agreed to return to Fetcham Grove after the coming to an agreement with Bullard and club officials over his work commitments.

Bradbrook, pictured, was welcomed home on Monday by the Surrey club as Bullard prepared his third-from-bottom side to host Staines in the Ryman League's top flight on Wednesday night.

A spokesman said: "Following discussions with Tom and an agreement to Tom's work commitments, Leatherhead Football Club is pleased to announce Bradders has agreed to come out of retirement. Welcome back Bradders."
