Baker, who saw his side go down on a frantic and dramatic final day of the 2016-17 season on Saturday after a 2-0 defeat at Lowestoft Town, insists his players aren't too blame and is taking full responsibly for the club’s relegation.
The Earlsmead manager, pictured, said: “I’m devastated, gutted, sad, angry and embarrassed and I can only apologies to everyone at the club. I take full responsibility.”
Baker, who is midway through the two year contract he signed last season after keeping the club up and winning the Middlesex Senior Cup, went on to tweet a thank you to the managers from around the Ryman League who'd been in touch to commiserate since they made the long way home to London on Saturday.

“I would also like to thank fellow managers for some of the messages I have received over the weekend,” he added. “It means a hell of a lot! Some true friends.”
