Blackburn adds two to his Bees squad

Two for Basildon- both from Sporting Bengal United of the Essex Senior League


New Basildon United manager Neil Blackburn tonight announced two additions to his squad, as he looks to turn around a run of twelve games- in all competitions- without victory.

Steven Carvell, an attacking midfielder, joins from Sporting Bengal United - indeed he scored for them in victory over Redbridge at the weekend. He previously played for VCD Athletic and Thurrock, amongst others.

His new team mate at the Ho Ho Stadium, Jay Knight, was also an old team mate, as he additionally joins from the Mile End Stadium- and he scored in defeat to Stanway Rovers on Wednesday night. Knight previously played in the North Division for Romford.

United travel to Great Wakering Rovers on Saturday.
