The winners of the March Manager of the Month Awards- sponsored by the fabulous folk at Anderson Travel- have just been announced.

Premier

The difference that Jay Saunders has made at Margate since joining the club on February 7th has to be seen to be believed. Nine fixtures. Seven victories. Two draws. It’s a shame he didn’t get to Hartsdown Park a couple of months earlier, as Gate would undoubtedly be challenging at the top of the table!

March saw five straight victories with only one goal conceded. Congratulations Jay- one complete Bostik month, one award in the bag!

North

We should perhaps just rename this the Rob Small Award. Five matches, five victories, twenty three goals scored, two conceded. There’s not much more we can add, is there? Bowers and Pitsea are having a remarkable season, and could clinch promotion this weekend. This might be a little more mundane than that prize, but congrats go to Rob, who will be looking for someone to build him a larger trophy cabinet.

South Central

Where do you think this month’s prize goes? Ware, that’s where!

Paul Halsey has done a marvellous job in turning Ware into playoff contenders, and March was an excellent month, thirteen points coming from five matches as the club moved to within one point of fifth placed Westfield. Well done to Paul, and to all at Wodson Park.

South East

Our March award heads to Homelands, where it will be presented to Ashford United manager Tommy Warrilow. Thirteen points from fifteen were achieved by the Nuts and Bolts during March, with only playoff rivals Horsham getting so much as a point.
