Premier

Given the fact that Dorking Wanderers won every match they played in April, didn’t concede a single goal, and scored twelve of their own- despite the fact that four of their five opponents were in the running for a Playoff place- should mean that it shouldn’t come as any surprise that Marc White wins our Premier Division award.

Congratulations to Mark, and his Wanderers- and good luck in the National League.

North

Although the Playoff Semi-Final was a step too far for Aveley, their performances leading up to it were quite magnificent. Coggeshall Town, Heybridge Swifts, Barking, Soham Town Rangers and AFC Sudbury- a six-nil victory- came, saw and were conquered by Danny Dafter’s men, and so it’s no surprise that Danny lifts the trophy for the last month of the season.

South Central

As we write this we’re about to set off to Bracknell Town for the South Central Division Playoff Final, so we hope very much we’re not about to deliver a Manager of the Month curse to Bracknell’s opponents, Cheshunt, and their manager Craig Edwards.

The Ambers have had a magnificent season, and they had a magnificent April, winning four of their five matches from the regular season (and one Playoff Semi-Final) to end the campaign in third place and earn themselves a home advantage. Congratulations to Craig and all of his team, who have had a magnificent season no matter what happens today.

South East

We knew who had won this award yesterday, but were asked by the club to keep in quiet in case it was cursed! It certainly wasn’t, as Horsham went on to win promotion to the Premier Division last night!

Congratulations to Dom Di Paola and his wonderful Hornets, who won every match they played in April, and now have another trophy to put on the new mantlepiece at Hop Oast along with the Playoff Final trophy they picked up yesterday.
