Bostik Supporters Predictions 18/19: Bedfont Sports

Leah introduces us to the world of the Eagles. Don't mention Balham!

We asked supporters of our Bostik League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-20 (or 22) will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.

Leah Ambridge introduces us to the world of Bedfont Sports. Try the burgers, sit by the half way line, but don't mention Balham!

1. What was your favourite moment of last season?

Travelling to Sutton Common Rovers, we were down to ten men for 60 mins yet took the lead to win 1-0. We travelled with all the young boys from our youth teams and their parents, the atmosphere was amazing from both sets of fans, but to see my Chairman Dave Reader’s face at full time was my best moment. A fabulous day.

2. And your worst moment?

When we played Balham at home. We were winning 4-3 with 10 minutes to go, and somehow managed to lose 8-4. The score was then highlighted on Soccer AM and Talksport that weekend.

3. How will you do this season?

I’d like to see us compete and finish mid table. We need to get used to the league, and gain experience from the new teams we will face.

4. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

I’m looking forward to travelling to Hayes and Yeading. They are on our doorstep and they did really well last year, just missing out on promotion- they will be a strong contender for the title it’ll be a great ground to visit. I’m also looking forward to travelling to Bracknell Town- they have a great set up and like ourselves play on 3G, it should be great to watch.

5. What is your favourite away ground?

From last season it would be Abbey Rangers. They showed us great hospitality, and they have a great ground. They made us feel very welcome when we have travelled there over the years.

6. Who do you consider your biggest rivals- and why?

Hanworth Villa. They are on our doorstep, and last season we always had some great games, great crowds and great scorelines against them.

7. What advice would you give to any away supporter visiting you for the first time?

We have a great ground; take a seat in our stands at the half way line to see a great game. We had the best burgers in the Combined Counties and great hospitality- and don't forget to visit our club shop and take away a club souvenir when you visit.

8. Who is your favourite player of all time (for your club)- and why?

Darryl Sanders- AKA The Wizard- been at the club since he was 15. We’ve watched him go from youth team to first team, and he has scored some important goals in some great games. He’s one of many youth boys who have made the step up. Youth team skipper Joe Jackson also was very close, and had a great season last year for the club.

9. Who will be in the top five at the end of the season?

Hayes & Yeading Utd, Tooting & Mitcham Utd, Waltham Abbey, Bracknell Town, Cheshunt.
