Bostik Supporters Preview 17/18: Ware

By Ian Townsend

For this supporters preview we head to Ware, which, history fans, has a museum that includes the town's World War Two command bunker and a number of fine medieval buildings. Luca Winterton ignores all of that and focuses on the football.

We asked a supporter from each of our member clubs to answer the same series of questions as part of our preview of the new season. We also asked them to predict how their particular division would finish, from one to 24- and their answers will be revealed in a collection of Supporters Prediction Tables to be released the day before the big kick off.

Here are the answers of Luca Winterton, representing Ware.

1. What was your favourite moment of last season?

Beating close rivals Cheshunt at home 4-1.

2. And what was the worst moment?

Getting relegated on the last day of the season. Thank goodness we got a reprieve.

3. How will you do this season?

We have a good squad despite last season’s results, so 7th.

4. Which matches are you most looking forward to- and why?

Cheshunt and Hertford Town are close rivals, so they should be good matches.

5. What is your favourite away ground?

I expect it will be Aveley’s new ground; I’m looking forward to seeing it.

6. Who do you consider your biggest rivals- and why?

Hertford Town- simply because they are the closest to us.

7. What advice would you give to an away supporter visiting you for the first time?

We have a nice ground and the people are friendly. You should enjoy your visit.

8. Who is your favourite player (for your club) of all time- and why?

I Haven’t been watching for long enough to give a considered answer to that one, but I hope that Yannick Kamanan will be excellent. He has played in the Champions League and he’s been scoring some really good goals in pre season.

9. Finally, predict who will fill the top five positions at the end of the forthcoming season:

Maldon & Tiptree, Grays Athletic, Canvey Island, AFC Sudbury, AFC Hornchurch.
