Bradbrook boost for Tanners

By Peter Butcher

TWO goals by Tom Bradbrook (pictured) in the first five minutes set Leatherhead on their way to a 4-0 home win over Crawley Down tonight (Thursday).

It lifted them into a play-off spot, still with a game in hand on the teams around them.

The Anvils must still have been hopeful; after all, they had themselves been 2-0 up even more quickly on Tuesday against Faversham but were eventually beaten 4-2.

But there was to be no comeback in this game. There was no further scoring in the first half but Elliott Thompson and
Tommy Hutchings doubled the score by the hour mark.

Corinthian-Casuals made sure of avoiding relegation with a 3-1 victory at Herne Bay. Ross Defoe gave them an early lead and Joe Nelder equalised in added time at the end of the first half.

Tom Williams and Steve Barilli scored twice in four minutes just before the hour to secure the points and leave Bay needing one more point to be mathematically safe from relegation themselves.
