No Brexit plans for Sittingbourne as they set up Danish trade deal!

Sittingbourne FC have announced a 'club twinning' partnership with Danish First Division club Fremand Amager.

Following a proposal from ex Sittingbourne resident Mark Chapman, who now lives in Denmark and supports both sides, and after strong backing from the supporters at Woodstock Park, the relationship- which will initially be with the Fremand Amager official fan club (De Blå/Hvide Engle)- has already begun. A meeting has already taken place between club officials John and Peter Pitts and Poul Madsen and Sǿren Fongart from the Fremand Amager official club.

Topics discussed included an exchange of merchandise, friendlies against either Fremand Amager themselves or their second team, Real Amager, supporter and club officials visits, player exchanges, and a joint publicity initiative. The first steps will be the exchange of merchandise and shirts.

There is no truth in the rumour that John and Peter were seen leaving Chequers yesterday after advising the cabinet on how to build trade relationships with our continental neighbours!
