Bricknell is a Towner

Billericay centurion signs on at Donkey Lane

On March 26th, when Billericay Town striker Billy Bricknell hit his 100th goal in a blue shirt as his side defeated Wingate & Finchley in North London, it seemed unlikely that the relationship between player and club would soon come to an end. But despite Bricknell scoring 37 goals during the season, including a hat trick in the Velocity Trophy Final- his second League Cup Final hat trick in twelve months- he was surprisingly released by the club after they won promotion. Since then keen Bostik League watchers have been wondering who would be lucky enough to snap him up- but they need wonder no more.

Enfield Town manager Andy Leese announced today that the striker, who had apparently "turned down numerous offers to play at a higher level," had signed on at Donkey Lane, in a move that will delight Town supporters and unnerve some of their rivals. You can read more on the move by visiting the Enfield Town website here.
