Margate manager Terry Brown was on hand to congratulate the teenage competitors taking part in an anti-racism tournament at Hartsdown Park.

Brown is pictured with the finalists who took part in the Kick Racism Out of Football event over the half-term holidays which was sponsored by the Ryman Premier leaders, Thanet District Council, Sport 4NRG and the Pie Factory.

Gate officials say they were delighted to sponsors the KROOF event which aimed to promote the importance of equality in sport generally and football in particular. The six-a-side tournament attracted six teams of young people aged between 14 and 19, with each team representing a World Cup nation.

Brown, who complimented the finalists on their competitive spirit, skills and commitment, went on to describe the transformation of Margate's youth section and urged them to sign up and aspire to play for the club at the highest level before presenting the event's medals and awards.
