Margate manager Terry Brown is looking forward to moving into a new training base after the Ryman Premier club signed a two year deal to start training in south London from this summer.

Brown’s squad will kick off preparations for the next campaign at the state-of-the-art facilities – including an all weather pitch and a gym which is currently being renovated with Football Foundation cash – at Long Lane FC in Kidbrooke.

Margate Chairman Bob Laslett said the Kent club was moving to the new facilities to give Brown, pictured, and his squad at Hartsdown Park the best possible facilities to work with as they target a run at promotion come August.

Laslett told the Isle of Thanet Gazette on Wednesday: "This is the best venue for Terry and his staff to be able to train the players with the best facilities.

"It will be an exciting season and we want to give Terry and his squad the best tools to be able to do the job, and by agreeing to train at this complex for the next two years it certainly goes a long way to doing that."
