Browning boosts touchline team

Herne Bay manager Sam Denly has strengthened his management team for the 2016-17 Ryman League campaign.

Having already secured the services of Steve Nolan as a coach after his work at Ramsgate and Hythe Town, Denly has added Lee Browning to his backroom staff at Winch's Field for the upcoming Ryman South season.

Denly, pictured signing the former Dover Athletic, Sittingbourne, Tonbridge Angels and Cray Wanderers player last season, told fans he was delighted to announce Browning's appointment.

He said: "Lee Browning is the latest and last addition to my coaching staff. He will join the management team for the coming season and I am very pleased to have secured his services.

“Lee’s playing days were bought to an abrupt end last season and he is now focusing on a new coaching role to help and assist the younger players within the squad. Mick Santer is not available every week so Lee will be there to assist Steve Nolan and help develop this already young and exciting group of players."

He added: "Lee also attracts players given his excellent reputation and character and his presence this season in the dressing room and around the lads will be a key link between players and management."

Like the majority of the Ryman League's clubs, Herne Bay return for pre-season training on Saturday.
