Crawley Down Gatwick named Matthew York as the Ryman League club's new commercial manager on Saturday.

York, who starts work at the Ryman South side immediately, is pictured alongside Chairman Brian Suckling, left, and Vice Chairman Mick Martin, right, following his appointment at The Haven Sportsfield.

The Anvil's new commercial recruit is now lining up an impressive range of sponsorship packages for budgets ranging from £1 to £10,000 and is looking forward to working with businesses and other partners in West Sussex.

York said: “Crawley Down Gatwick are a young, ambitious, innovative Non-League club and it’s a great privilege to lead the club’s commercial achievements in and around the Gatwick area.

“After sitting down with the chairman it is clear the club has both the structure and potential to succeed on the pitch and it’s my role to ensure this success is paralleled by our continued development off the pitch.

“At Crawley Down Gatwick we’re looking for the right for sponsors, affiliates and partners but we also have an ambition to see the club utilised by local businesses on a wider scale, taking advantage of all The Haven’s function rooms, facilities and links into the wider community."

He added: “We have a fantastic young manager and a youthful driven squad. I would urge all the locals to get down to our pre-season fixtures and see for themselves exactly what we are about.”
