Cameras are rolling at Rocks!

East Thurrock United's players and officials had better start keeping a lid on any industrial language as the Ryman Premier's Rocks are being filmed for a new fly-on-the-wall documentary series.

The Rocks revealed on Friday that film-maker Spencer Carmichael-Brown has been following them for the last few weeks and has just released the first episode of the online series. He's now planning to keep his cameras rolling until the end of the campaign after being granted exclusive access to the dressing room and behind-the-scenes operations at Rookery Hill.

Spencer has produced a number of other sporting films and documentaries, most notably another season-long documentary series about Spanish club Real Oviedo which was posted on his blog site 'What Spencer Does'. His Spanish adventure even helped the club's fundraising efforts with a significant number of fans electing voluntarily to support a pay-for-view subscription, with funds going to the club.

Rocks say they aren't planning anything like that, though Secretary Neil Speight is still hoping the news will aid their on-going mission to secure a main sponsor.

Speight said: "Obviously anything that helps raise the profile of the club has to be a good thing. Who knows, it may even help our search for a short sponsor for this season! We would be delighted to talk to anyone interested in getting involved with the club and Spencer's filming.

"We are enjoying Spencer being about the club and it adds a bit of excitement and anticipation about our post match coverage. The first episode of Spencer's documentary is already out and we are very much looking forward to the next instalment."
