Caretaker in charge after Brace's exit

Worthing have confirmed that Lee Brace and joint manager Kieran Collins have both left the Ryman South club.

In a statement released on their website, Rebels said Brace, pictured, had resigned from his post on Thursday before reconsidering. His offer to stay on was rejected and on Friday Chairman Lee Noakes confirmed to the Worthing Herald that Collins had been released from his post.

Mick Fogden and Jon Meaney take charge of Saturday’s home game against Hastings United at the Plumbase Worthing Stadium ahead of a meeting of the club’s Board next week to decide on their future management structure.

The two coaches take charge until further notice with Fogden having the final say on team matters as caretaker manager. He will work closely with Meaney, who was previously a coach at the club.

Worthing’s Chairman told the paper’s website: "Jon and Mick will take the team on Saturday and we’ll then look to see what should happen for the rest of the season from there."
