Chairman takes part in live podcast

By David Watters

Ryman League chairman Nick Robinson is a surprise guest on this week's Ryman Podcast Show.

The chairman joined Greenwich Borough's promotion-chasing boss Gary Alexander for the second live recording of the podcast on Facebook between 7 and 9pm on Monday night.

Recorded at the Harlow Arena, the two hour podcast for the fans, players and officials of the Ryman League is now available to download on Audioboom along with earlier shows this season at: http://audioboom.com/RYMANROUNDUPSHOW.

As well as Robinson and former Leyton Orient, Millwall, Brentford, AFC Wimbledon and Burton Albion forward Alexander, co-hosts David Square and VCD Athletic manager Keith McMahon were also joined by the Ryman North club's striker Liam MacDevitt and media man Elliot Byrne, the Boro trio taking questions in real time on the social media platform from viewers.

Launched with the backing of the Ryman League during the 2013-14 season, the two hour live phone-in show dedicated to the Ryman returned for the first time this season in November with new Leatherhead boss Jimmy Bullard as its first star guest.

For the first time ever, the show is also going on the road this season after moving into a new studio at the home of the Hawks. The brainchild of Hawks fan Square, the show's producers are hoping to broadcast from a number of grounds before the end of the season after switching from their old slot on Thursday nights this season.

The Ryman League chairman, currently negotiating a new title sponsorship for when the Isthmian's record-breaking partnership with Ryman Stationers comes to an end after 20 years at the end of the current campaign, is pictured shaking hands on the new benchwear and matchball partnership deal the league announced in early January with Mitre and the international sports brand's head of sales Chris Degnan.
