Eastbourne Town's former first team coach Ady Colwell has stepped up to lead their new management team for the coming campaign.

The Ryman League's First Division South club announced on Tuesday that Colwell, pictured, had been appointed as Club Manager and will oversee all the their sides.

Colwell will work closely with former Sussex County League manager Kevin Laundon who's been handed the role of first team manager after building an impressive CV following successful spells guiding Sleaford, Newhaven and most recently, AFC Uckfield.

Colwell previously managed the East Sussex outfit, winning promotion to the Ryman League, and returned to The Saffrons last season to work under then manager Danny Bloor. He left after more than three years in charge in May to join Lewes as assistant manager to Garry Wilson.

ETFC Chairman David Jenkins is looking forward to a successful new era kicking off after making the two appointments ahead of their return to pre-season training.

He said: "I am delighted that Ady and Kevin have accepted the offer to work with us at Eastbourne Town. They offer a fantastic combination of experience, knowledge and enthusiasm. I am sure they will prove a great success in the coming seasons."
