Cooper adds three

Two defenders and a keeper for Grays

New Grays Athletic manager Jim Cooper has strengthened his squad ahead of tomorrow's match at a resurgent Dereham Town, bringing in three new signings.

Perhaps the most recognisable of the three sees the arrival of Tonbridge Angels defender Craig Stone. Stone moved to Longmead last season from Eastbourne Borough and made thirty four appearances, and has made a further twenty six during this campaign- but he hasn't made a start for Steve McKimm's side since Boxing Day. He joins on loan.

Next in is Macauley Joynes, who moves to Grays from Great Wakering Rovers. Joins will be better known, perhaps, from his time at Hertford Town, whom he left- along with the vast majority of his teammates- in February, after making twenty eight appearances this season. He made three more for Rovers, two from the bench- and now heads to Parkside.

Finally, a goalkeeper. Former Barking, Chelmsford City and Great Wakering Rovers stopper Connor Pearce has been training with the club of late, and has now joined up permanently.
