Defender handed final warning

Sittingbourne manager Jim Ward has warned defender Ashley Ulph that his future is on the line after he was sent off at Merstham in Ryman South last Saturday.

Sittingbourne were fined by the Football Association for their poor disciplinary record last season when they were shown 16 red cards.

Ulph saw red twice himself last term and was given his marching order again during last weekend's 2-0 defeat. Ward insists he is determined to cut out any further trouble this season by showing Ulph and any other offenders the door at Woodstock Park if necessary.

The Brickies' joint manager said: "He’ll be dealt with internally. We just can’t have it after last season. The players have been warned that if there’s any future misconduct they will be asked to leave the club."
