Defender returns to Dockers

Defender Sam West has returned to Ryman League Tilbury.

The Dockers announced on Monday that the popular 25-year-old had returned from Ryman North rivals Witham Town. West, pictured, has also played for Billericay Town, Brentwood Town and Ilford.

The defender signed for Tilbury in 2010 from Billericay Town and made 85 appearances, scoring four times before leaving in 2012 to join Brentwood Town

A club spokesman welcomed his return and said: "Everyone at the club would like to welcome Sam back at Chadfields."

The Dockers also announced on Monday that James Zanelli, a midfielder with overseas experience, has gained his international clearance and is now available for selection by manager Paul Vaughan.
