Erith & Belvedere

Erith & Belvedere joint managers Martin Ford and Chris Cosgrove have brought in five new faces to Park View Road to boost their Ryman North squad.

The pair, who took over this season following the club's promotion in May as Kent champions, hope to kick start their campaign after taking seven points from their opening six fixtures.

Ford and Cosgrove have focused on improving their backline by bringing in no less than three new keepers ahead of Tuesday night's Kent Senior Cup clash at home to Gillingham.

Kris Dixon, 26, arrived after spending time on the fringes of the Leyton Orient squad and is joined by former Deres goalkeeper Luke Roberts, 24. He had a brief spell in Micky Collins' double winning side last season.

Experienced stopper Andrew Young, 33, has also signed from Billericay Town. Ford hailed his arrival in particular as a major boost as they seek to cement their place in the Ryman League this season.

Ford said: "Andy is an excellent signing and we are lucky to have him here at Park View Road."

The Deres managers have also strengthened their outfield options. Full-back George Savage, 22, has joined from Hythe Town along with attacking midfielder Louis Spousen from Cray Wanderers.

Club Secretary Adam Peters added: "It has been an exciting couple of days for the club and as club secretary I’m thrilled to welcome everyone to the club. I hope that we can continue our Ryman adventure with a great set of players and more importantly, an excellent supporters' base behind us."
