Deres striker boosts Chats

Chatham Town

Striker Andy Constable has joined Chatham Town from new Ryman League rivals Erith & Belvedere.

Constable scored 19 league goals last season to help the Deres clinch the Kent League championship and promotion into Ryman North.

Chats manager Kevin Watson hailed the player's arrival at Park View Road, telling the Kent Messenger's website: "We’re at the stage where we’re trying to cherry-pick players who will improve us. Andy’s been a proven prolific striker over the last five seasons.

"He’s somebody who’s come into form late in his career and I’ve been trying to get him for a while. He’s got the right attitude and he’ll help some of our younger players."
