Dockers switch will suit striker

By David Watters

Striker Jack Barham will be in the Dockers squad heading to Brentwood Town on Saturday after switching to Tilbury from Ryman North rivals Heybridge Swifts.

The 20-year-old signed for Dockers manager Gary Henty at Chadfields on Thursday night after turning down offers to go elsewhere in the Ryman League.

The forward - who'd scored 25 goals in 78 appearances for Swifts since making his debut for the club in August 2014 - is being backed by Swifts manager Jody Brown to be a success at the Dockers despite the disappointment of losing his services at Scraley Road.

Brown said: "His great strengths are his energy, pace and desire which Tilbury will undoubtedly benefit from. He has great potential."
