Dynamic midfielder switches to Tanners

Leatherhead manager Richard Brady looks to be stepping up the revamping of his squad ahead of the new Ryman League campaign after signing dynamic midfielder Darren Smith.

Smith, 35, made over 100 appearances for Invicta during two spells on the south coast and last season worked as a player coach there.

The box-to-box midfielder arrived at the Ryman South's Tanners this week with vast experience having won the Ryman Premier title with Gravesend & Northfleet and a playing career that has taken in Chatham, Sittingbourne, Eastbourne Borough, Burgess Hill Town, Tonbridge Angels and Maidstone United.
