Edwards prepares to go again next season

Billericay Town manager Craig Edwards has already started planning for next season's Ryman Premier campaign.

The Blues have just three game to go following their 4-0 win at home to Grays Athletic on Tuesday night and with nothing but pride left to play for, Edwards, pictured, says his thoughts have now turned to the summer and preparing his squad for next season.

Edwards told the Brentwood Gazette ahead of his side's trip to Lowestoft Town on Saturday: "We know what we want. We've got a very strong squad but a very, very inexperienced squad. I've got 13 players that have played more than 40 games this season and they're learning all the time.

"I think with this team this year we've not scored enough goals. I'm not talking about the strikers, I'm talking about the creative side of our team, where traditionally we've been very strong. We've simply not scored enough goals and there's a number of reasons for that, but it's something we'll want to address.

"I'm looking to bring in three or four players. We've got options with the current squad and they've all indicated that they want to stay. We're confident we will keep everyone that we want to keep."
