Alexander to take charge of Nuts and Bolts

Former Greenwich Borough boss to take charge of Ashford United next season

Shortly after joining Ashford United as Assistant Manager, it has been confirmed by current manager Jason Whitmore that former Greenwich Borough boss Gary Alexander isn’t going to be second in command for long- he’ll be taking the hotseat next season.

Speaking to ashfordunitedfc.com, Whitmore explained:

We’ve brought Gary in for the long term future of the club. I will take a step back at the end of the season and let him bring in his own Assistant Manager. I will still be involved in the club but I just won’t be in the dugout, I will take a step upstairs as Director of Football.

We’re very excited for what Gary will bring to our wonderful club and we know the fans will have something great to look forward to once this season is over.’
