Haringey Borough and Aveley scored five goals between them at Coles Park last night- and the game was won right at the death, as Borough keeper Austin Byfield launched a long kick from his own box which took a wicked bounce and then, despite Aveley stopper Rhys Madden's best efforts to stop it, ended up crossing the line to give the home side all three points. This- as you can imagine- sparked massive celebrations and will undoubtedly be a talking point for the rest of the campaign.
It's easy to feel sorry for Aveley, however. The Millers were twice ahead in the match through an Alex Teniola double, and would have felt flat having been denied three points by Coby Rowe only two minutes from time. And then up stepped Byfield to create his own folk legend!
