Bostik Supporters Preview 17/18: Bowers & Pitsea

We head to Bowers & Pitsea for our next set of predictions, as Jack Walsh worries about how to replace a fifty goal strike partnership. Don't worry Jack, you won't need to bring your boots!

We asked a supporter from each of our member clubs to answer the same series of questions as part of our preview of the new season. We also asked them to predict how their particular division would finish, from one to 24- and their answers will be revealed in a collection of Supporters Prediction Tables to be released the day before the big kick off.

Here are the answers of Jack Walsh representing Bowers & Pitsea.

What was your favourite moment of last season?

The Boxing Day trip to Great Wakering Rovers, it ended in a 5-1 win, we had a good few fans turn up and was a superb atmosphere.

And your worst moment?

The 5-1 battering by Witham Town at home. We were on a brilliant run of 10 league games undefeated and this result on the day was surprising. In my view we struggled to get back to top form after this.

How will you do this season?

I think a top 7 finish. Rob Small and the club have done very well with the signings over the summer, and some of the new young faces look very promising, but when you lose players like Bradley Warner and David Knight with a combined 50+ goals it's always going to be a hard test.

Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

Canvey Island is a big one and I imagine there should be a very good crowd there. I’m also looking forward to seeing Aveley's new facility; it looks very good. We’ll have two visits this year with Grays also in the division.

What is your favourite away ground?

AFC Hornchurch and Canvey Island.

Who do you consider your biggest rivals- and why?

I would say that in the division now it would be Canvey Island, just for how local they are. But as a club Basildon United are the biggest rival. I'm hoping Marc Harrison gets them into the Bostik North next season.

What advice would you give to any away supporter visiting you for the first time?

The Len Salmon Stadium is a brilliant place and everyone is very welcoming, and has the best burgers in non league! The bar is located outside the ground so make sure you keep your ticket on you so that you can go in and out.

You can really make some noise behind the goal as the stand is very low.

Who is your favourite player of all time (for your club)- and why?

Bradley Warner (now AFC Hornchurch); he is a machine in front of goal.

9. Finally, predict who will fill the top five positions at the end of the forthcoming season:

Jack forgot to do this, sadly!
