Bowers strengthen!

Like they really need to be any stronger!

Bowers and Pitsea, nine points clear at the top of the North Division and having won their last ten matches, today announced that they had strengthened their squad with the signing of former Maldon & Tiptree skipper Matt Lock.

Lock, who started his career with Exeter City before turning out for a number of clubs including Team Bath, Tiverton Town, Chelmsford City and Gloucester City, was a mainstay of the Jammers midfield until he announced his retirement in January of last year due to a change in his work commitments. But now he's back, as Bowers manager Rob Small looks to add his experience to a squad that faces Bury Town on Saturday.
