Purcell moves to the seaside

Canvey Island have announced the signing of George Purcell from Hornchurch.

Purcell has been with the Urchins for almost six years, and last season made fifty one appearances across all competitions, scoring seventeen goals. In his last season in the North Division, 2017-18, he scored twenty two times as the Urchins marched to the title, whilst his new club finished sixth.

Purcell is the all-time record goalscorer for Hornchurch, finding the net one hundred and forty nine times.
