Burgess Hill Town have just announced the return to the Green Elephants Stadium of Cheick Toure.
Toure originally signed for the Hillians back in the summer of 2016, and was a mainstay of their defence- as well as famously scoring the winner as they knocked Wealdstone out of the FA Trophy- until his departure for Ashford United in December 2017. He left the Nuts and Bolts a few months later, and has most recently been playing in the National League South for Dulwich Hamlet, making his debut against Oxford City on November 17th.
Given the Hillians are without a victory since New Years Day, and have conceded eight goals in their last two matches, the return of Toure will be a boost to the faithful at the Green Elephants Stadium, who have watched their side slump to the bottom of the Premier Division. He will be in line to make another debut in green as they travel to Potters Bar Town on Saturday.
