Hillians escape plan gets reinforcements

Chapman brings in three

Burgess Hill Town may have seen their match against Wingate & Finchley rained off today, but manager Ian Chapman didn't use the time to take a rest- instead he's just announced three reinforcements.

The first is a name well known to Bostik League fans- that of Bognor Regis Town defender Gary Charman. Man of the match in the Playoff Final against Dulwich Hamlet last season, Charman has joined the Hillians on a dual registration deal and will add much needed experience to another green defence.

Charman is joined by another defender, Kyle McDowell, a full back who has departed Ross County to move south. He shouldn't take too long to acclimatise, given that until last summer he was an apprentice at Portsmouth FC. Additionally, Tim Cook has rejoined the club after leaving East Grinstead Town, for whom he scored in the win over Sittingbourne last month.
