Mitre Manager of the Month Awards: January 2018

By Ian Townsend

Three awards and four winners- see who picked up the prizes for January

We had a rather entertaining January (when the weather didn't get in the way), and at the end of it we went through the stats and worked out the three prize winners in our Mitre Manager of the Month Awards- or four prize winners, to be exact.

The Premier Division award goes to Billericay Town managerial due Harry Wheeler and Glenn Tamplin. January saw the Blues win three of their four league matches- drawing the other- whilst scoring twelve goals and conceding only three, results which saw them overhaul Dulwich Hamlet to sit proudly at the summit. It also saw them progress to the Third Round of the FA Trophy with victory over Stourbridge.

By the way, Harry will be guesting on the Back of the Net Radio Show, tonight at 7PM.

The North Division Award goes to a gentleman and a Scholar, Potters Bar Town manager Steve Ringrose. January saw the Scholars play seven league matches, winning five and drawing one more- results which included victories over play-off chasing rivals Haringey Borough, Maldon & Tiptree, Bowers & Pitsea and Barking.

Finally, the South Division Award goes to Carshalton Athletic Manager Peter Adeniyi. The Robins won three of their four matches last month, drawing the other, and scored an impressive thirteen goals during that period, establishing themselves firmly as promotion contenders.

Congratulations to all of our winners.
