The Bostik League Show- Episode 52- Hamlet v Hendon

By Ian Townsend

Dulwich Hamlet took on Hendon in the Premier Division Playoff Final. Who would join Billericay Town in the National League South?

"Billericay, we're coming for you!"

One hundred and twenty minutes and a penalty shootout had just ended, and thousands of Dulwich Hamlet fans were on the pitch. All of them were gripped by unimaginable joy, many of them were in tears, and their side had just overcome adversity- and Hendon- to earn a place in National League South next season. After one hundred and eleven years in the Isthmian League and enough playoff failures to give anyone a complex, Hamlet had finally taken that big step.

If you were there, you'll undoubtedly remember the experience for years to come. If you weren't there, you'll wish you had been once you've watched the highlights- and the celebrations- courtesy of the Back of the Net team.

So here you go. We'll be back with the new season on August 5th, but for the first time in living memory, without Dulwich Hamlet. The best of luck to Hamlet and their fans for the future- we'll miss you enormously, but please try not to come back!
