Disappointed YMCA invite applications

By Pitch Hero

HORSHAM YMCA have invited applications for their managerial vacancy (contact numbers below) after Chris White's decision to take up the reins at Division One South rivals Worthing.

YM admit that they are 'disappointed' that White has decided to leave a month into planning for the forthcoming season, though they wish him well. He telephoned club chairman Mick Browning last night (Tuesday) to announce that he was on his way.

"We wished Chris all the best and, although we're disappointed, we wouldn't want to stand in his way," said a club spokesman. "Worthing are a bigger club, though they have financial difficulties.

"We'd been looking forward to next season; we had a meeting with Chris to discuss it and he told us that the players he wanted to keep would be staying and he had a few more lined up to join us. We've also done a lot of work on our pitch, which some people criticised.

"Now it looks as if most of our squad will follow Chris. But you've got to move on and so we're in the market for a new manager, someone with experience."

Anyone interested should ring Bob Brading (07919 392190), Ron Moulding (07966 164721) or Alan McGrath (07785 986120).
