He'd rather be a rebel than a rock!

Worthing sign experienced former Bognor Regis Town defender

Yesterday Bognor Regis Town defender James Crane announced that he had decided to leave the Nyewood Lane club after ten years, as he was looking for a new challenge. It has just been announced that he has found that challenge already, along the Sussex coast at Worthing.

Speaking to the Worthing FC website, Crane explained:

‘When my release was announced, I had a few offers, clubs phoning me. I know Adam (Hinshelwood) well and I wanted to play for a club who want to progress and win things. This club is very much a sleeping giant, it’s a perfect fit for me, the professional feel around it is something that works.'

Worthing supporters have a large banner which proclaims that they'd 'Rather be a rebel than a rock'- a reference to their rivalry with Bognor and the club's nicknames. They'll be delighted to have found that Crane feels the same way!
