New Year honours for trio!

The trio, and South Park and Worthing for a second time this season, were unveiled on Saturday as the latest winners of the monthly accolades which are being sponsored by Macron again this season to recognise and reward the top performances among the 72 clubs playing in the Ryman Premier, Ryman North and Ryman South divisions.

As always, the winners are chosen each month after judges make their choice from a shortlist of potential clashes, basing their votes on the results, form and circumstances behind the performances. Like all winners, the clubs are now looking forward to being presented with glass trophies marking their club's achievement at upcoming fixtures by representatives from the league and sponsors Macron.

Under the guidance of manager Tommy Warrilow, the Mead saw out 2016 in some style to earn their first Ryman North accolade of the season, romping to 5-1 win at Tilbury on New Year's Eve as they sealed their biggest win of the season and capped a remarkable 28 days by collecting 18 points from a possible 21.

After collecting November's accolades for their respective performances in the Buildbase FA Trophy, the Sparks and the Rebels recorded two of the results of the first round proper to win successive honours.

Worthing under joint managers Jon Meeney and Gary Elphick won their first accolade since winning promotion to the Ryman League’s top flight this season in November for knocking out National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town. To win their second, the Rebels stepped up a gear to record a famous 2-1 win at National League Dagenham and Redbridge's Victoria Road home in the first round proper on Saturday 10 December.

Malcolm Porter’s South Park side beat National League South Oxford City to collect their first award in November and will be honoured again for their 3-1 victory at Southern League North Leigh on Tuesday 20 December in a first round proper replay after drawing 1-1 in Surrey three days earlier.
