A round up of news from across the Bostik League


We've had a few items of news over the last couple of days, and rather than write a dozen separate articles we thought we'd give you a round up from across our three divisions. So here you go, for fans of Ashford United, Met Police, Aveley, Burgess Hill Town, Brentwood Town, Hendon, Enfield Town, Cray Wanderers, Canvey Island, Margate and Brightlingsea Regent!

Within 24 hours of us reporting that Ashford United coach Paul Barnes had left the Nuts and Bolts for the top job at Greenwich Borough, United had brought in his replacement- and as if it was some kind of swap deal, the new man was former Borough boss Gary Alexander! Here's how Ashford United announced the news:

Over at Fetcham Grove, Kingstonian announced the departure of tricky winger Alec Fiddes. Twenty four hours later he was being unveiled as the new star at Metropolitan Police. Here's their story:

James Webster at Aveley has loaned Matthew and Matthew- Rose and Dicks- to Hullbridge Sports for an undefined period. Here's the story:

Burgess Hill Town have annouced the loan signing of Stephane Ngamvoulou from Wealdstone. Stephane has most recently turned out for Hungerford Town and Oxford City, but he's no stranger to Sussex having also played for Whitehawk.

Attacking midfielder Andy Freeman has left Brentwood Town for National League South football with Concord Rangers.

Hendon have signed keeper Corey Addai on loan from Coventry City- read more on that story here.

Enfield Town welcomed Spurs and England midfielder Dele Ali to the Queen Elizabeth Stadium- click here for more on that story.

Cray Wanderers signed the former Crawley Town, Brentford and- until last week- Greenwich Borough striker Charlie MacDonald- and he immediately started scoring! Article here.

Canvey Island have traded keepers, letting Ashlee Jones leave to join Merstham whilst signing Jack Giddens on loan from Billericay Town. Here's the detail.

Margate FC have announced that their new chairman is Terry Painter- news here.

And finally, Brightlingsea Regent have announced a music festival for Cup Final Saturday, which means that residents of the Essex coast will have yet another way to avoid the Royal Wedding! News here!
