Margate sign new striker with an illustrious history


Margate yesterday announced the signing of a striker who has scored at Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and The City of Manchester Stadium (it wasn't then called the Etihad). He has also scored for England Under 21's, was named in the Under 21 European Championship team of the tournament in 2007, and has played for five years in the Premier League and eight in the Championship.

Gate fans will be delighted to welcome Leroy Lita to Hartsdown Park. The striker formerly played for Bristol City, Reading and Middlesborough amongst others, and most recently turned out in Thailand's Premier League.
