Terrors announce a number of departures

The times are a-changing at Tooting

Tooting and Mitcham United have announced via their Official Facebook Page that there have been a number of changes to manager Frank Wilson's squad over the last few days. We thought we'd share the information here in case you'd missed it- but if you follow the link above you can read much more.

Firstly, the club have confirmed that goalkeeper Kyle Merson has followed Ollie Bennett and linked up with Bostik League South side Whyteleafe in search of regular first team football. Also leaving is striker Sandy Cunningham, who has made the tough decision to return home to Scotland, and full back Tenny Adebowale, who has been released by mutual consent after failing to gain a place in the starting line up this season.

The Terrors have also confirmed that they received an approach last week from Kingstonian for holding midfield player Kevin MacLaren. Whilst nothing has yet been signed and sealed, Ks boss Leigh Dynan was given permission to speak with Kevin before the required 7 day period had expired, and it's expected that he'll be making the move to Fetcham Grove in the next day or two.

Finally, another player leaving the club by mutual consent is Billy Dunn. Re-joining the club for a third spell at the start of last season, Billy's pre-christmas goal tally set the Terrors up for what would be a successful title campaign, but he has struggled for fitness this season due to injury and the club and striker have agreed that he will depart.

We wish all of these players the very best of luck for their future careers.
