Ryman League

Carshalton Athletic winning top Euro honours, Harlow's new state-of-the-art artificial pitch and plans for new online coverage of the league were among the topics up for discussion on the new Ryman Round-up Show.

Presented by David Square on Harlow-based online community station Hawks Radio, the new phone-in show covering all three of the Ryman's divisions and 72 clubs kicks off at 7pm on Thursday nights this month and from 8pm for the rest of the season.

The two hour show was broadcasting online for the second time tonight (August 22) following a pilot episode last Thursday. A podcast of the show, featuring Ryman League Vice Chairman Nick Robinson in the studio, is now available online. Future shows also set to be available as downloads and producers say fans from across the Ryman can take part by calling in or emailing their views.

Tonight's show was set to see Carshalton Secretary Chris Blanchard quizzed on the secret of their success after the Premier Division club's Chairman Paul Dipre collected a UEFA Silver Medal as the second best community club in Europe on their behalf at Wembley last week before England beat Scotland, pictured.

Harlow's new artificial surface and on-going efforts to boost their work in the community were set to be explained by the club's Secretary Ray Dyers while Chris Murray from Action Game Replay was this week's studio guest. Murray, who already provides filming services for a number of Ryman clubs, was due to discuss his hopes of launching a new online news and magazine show covering action in the Ryman.
